Panther Golf Loses a Close One

The WH Golf team put there best effort forward today as they welcomed the Duxbury Dragons to Ridder Farms Golf Course. The Panthers were hoping to beat the Dragons for the fourth year in a row at Ridder, but unfortunately fell just short, losing 228-237.

Senior Graham Stewart ties for match medalist with his impressive 3 over par, 37. Not far behind was senior captain Aidan Miller and junior Chris Ross, who both shot a 4 par 38. And helping to keep the match close and also contributing to the Panthers' lowest team score of the season was senior Nic Daly and junior Pat McBroom, both carding a 7 over par, while junior Drew Sullivan finished the day with a very respectable 8 over par.

Though the team was disappointed in the result of the close match, ultimately they proved to themselves that they can play with anyone if they stay focused and stay tuned in on their team motto: play present.

The golf season comes to a close next Thursday and the Panthers have two matches remaining , bit at home - Silver Lake on Tuesday and Marshfield on Wednesday.
