The Whitman-Hanson golf team earned their third consecutive win today at Ridder Farm Golf Course against perennial powerhouse Hingham.
The Panthers edged out a one stroke victory over the Harbormen (believed by many to be "the team to beat") 228-229 behind junior captain Shane Devlin, who shot an impressive even par 34, and sophomore Alex Burbank, who finished with a 3 over par, 37.
Some other key performances came from junior Kyle Reardon, who turned in a 4 over par 38, senior Mike Capellupo, who shot a 5 over par 39, and both senior captain Josh Green and junior Cory Cocchi each finished with a 6 over par 40.
With today's win, the team's league record improves to 4-4 and their overall record improves to 5-5. They hope to keep their winning streak alive as they travel to Widow's Walk on Wednesday to face off against Scituate High School.
