The Whitman Hanson Panther Golf squad lost their season opener at Furnace Brook Golf Course against Quincy today 266-277 to start the season at 0-1.
Senior captain Pat McBroom led the way for the Panthers with a 7 over par, 42, while fellow senior captains Drew Sullivan and Chris Ross turned in an 8 over and 9 over respectively. Despite the loss, the squad was happy to officially kick off the season and see what they are made of. Though there were definitely some strokes left out on the course, the team is looking forward to some concentrated time at the range and practice this weekend before a three match week ahead of them.
They play host to Plymouth North on Monday.
