Subject: WH Golf Falls to Pembroke Titans

The Whitman Hanson golf team lost to the Pembroke Titans at Pembroke Country Club 253-306 to fall to 0-5 on the season.

Sophomore Cooper Britton was the low score for the red and black with a nine over par, while Junior captain Blake Belcher fell just a couple strokes short of that. Senior Devon Brodeur also made his Panther debut at a tough road course.

But despite the loss for the team, they still won in a much bigger battle - together the Titans and Panthers raised over $1,000 to fight pediatric cancer. Both squads donned yellow ribbons to show their support for the cause throughout their match and were happy to be working side by side toward such an important goal.

The team has tomorrow off, but will back on the road on Thursday as they take on Plymouth North at Plymouth Country Club.
