WH Golf Improves to 4-1!

The Whitman-Hanson Golf team is on a role. They earned their third consecutive win and fourth overall win on the season today to improve to 4-1, 3-1 in the league. The victory over the Pembroke Titans wasn't easy, as they squeaked by 233-240 at Ridder Farm Golf Club.

Senior captains John Murphy and Luke Tamulevich were again the tag team to beat, tying for medalist, each carding even par scores. Their dominant play thus far has helped catapult the team to their early success. "It's rare to have a solid 1-2 combo on a team who can consistently be relied on to play well. Both these guys have worked so hard on to get to where they are today and it's benefitting everyone on the team," said Head Coach Brian Dempsey after today's win.

Junior Matt Stanish earned a bit of the spotlight as well, shooting a 5 over par, 39, which helped solidify the win in the close match.

Though the Panthers are optimistic about their recent play, they have a busy week ahead of them with four matches, and three of them on the road.
