WH Golf Improves to 2-0

The Whitman Hanson Panther Golf squad defeated home team East Bridgewater in match play at Ridder Farm Golf Course 31.5-22.5 to improve to 2-0 on the season (1-0 in the league). Because this was a non-league match, and the Panthers were dubbed the away team, they played in match play format, as opposed to their usual stroke play.

Junior Matt Korzec (and "Dude" ball winner for the day) helped to catapult the Panthers into a comfortable lead by defeating his opponent 8-1. He was joined by junior Ian Brown and senior Pat Dever, who both won their matchups 5.5-3.5, to earn the team's second win.

The team has the day off tomorrow, but will be practicing hard to prepare for their next two matchups against Pembroke on Wednesday and Duxbury on Thursday, both at Ridder.
