Panthers Give Back

On Sunday morning, November 4, the clocks turned back. It gave everyone that often needed and much deserved extra hour of sleep; however, members of the Whitman Hanson Golf team and NHS decided to use that extra hour for a different cause: to give back to their community.

The high schoolers split their time in joining forces at the Hanson Food Pantry under the supervision of Hanson resident and site director Chris Cameron, and the old Plymouth County Hospital site, alongside Hanson resident and PCH Reuse Committee member Marianne DiMascio, where students sorted through and organized nearly 1,400 pounds of food items to be categorized and shelved inside, while others planted bulbs, pruned trees, and cleared walkways outside.

It was amazing to see students come together for the greater good and truly make a difference in their community.
