The 2020 golf season kicked off today at Ridder Golf Course as Whitman Hanson hosted Hingham. The Panthers lost the season opener to the reigning South Sectional champs 249-308 off the back nine (par 36).
Though the team struggled across the board, there were some impressive shots provided by all, lead by senior captain Aidan Miller. Sophomore Harrison Chase earned a team shoutout in his first start in the Panther uniform, stepping up to the challenge by piping a perfect drive down the middle of the fairway to begin his round.
Despite the tough loss, everyone was in agreement that it was great to be back on the lynx competing as a team. The team will take the weekend to regroup and get prepared for next weeks full schedule.
