The Whitman Hanson Golf team earned its first victory today, narrowly defeating the Quincy Presidents at Furnace Brook Golf Course 280-281. The win improves the Panthers reacted to 1-8, with 7 matches to play.
Captains Harry Chase and Blake Belcher showed great leadership and etiquette in the victory, but the team's low round goes to senior Harry Carew, who finished at 10 over par. The win was much needed for the morale of the struggling squad, but they are hoping to continue this momentum as they enter the final couple of weeks of the season.
The Panthers host the Hingham Harbormen tomorrow.
